Politicians Protecting Newspapers?

Hmmm, very interesting that the Cheras UMNO wants to set up a fund to 'help' Utusan defend itself against the multi-million dollar libel suit! Now all of a sudden politicians are protecting the papers or is it just Utusan in particular??? Is Utusan running out of money that the Cheras UMNO has to chip in?

Well i think it is an excellent idea. Why? Coz i hope that Cheras UMNO would not only help pay for the defence but also to pay the total amount that is being sued for. This way, we have come up with a unique way of how to channel UMNO money to the people!!! rm30million is a lot. I wonder if Cheras UMNO has that kind of money??? If it does then i think something is not that right. When even the mosque has defended Miss Kok and said that she was not involved, wat else is there to defend? Just pay the RM30m and get it over with. Now with UMNO support i am very sure that Utusan can afford it.

Due to the course of my job, i am required to read all forms of newspaper. Prior to this i only read the Star and Sun (free wat). I noticed that the Star has been slightly more open when it comes to criticizing the gov these days. The country definitely need more young Malays like Karim Raslan and Adzmi Sharom. It is this voices of the young Malays that are so liberating compared with all that politicians spewing out 'ketuanan u know wat'
The Sun? My favorite hands down especially 'Citizen Nades' However yesterday for the first time in my 26+ years of my life i bought the Utusan (how stupid of me eh?) How i was shocked to read the contents. So biased and one sided. It seems like they only write stuff for Malays and not Malaysians. They should also change their name to Utusan BN or Utusan UMNO. The "Malaysia" part of their name is an utter mockery!

I wonder if there ever will be a time when equality and merit becomes a reality in Bolehland.
